Summer Series : The good life in Marrakech
When a Parisian artist decides to leave the crazy pace of the French capitale to exile herself and her family in Marrakech, Morocco, you get French style mixed with local craftsmanship pieces and a house full of character : pops of color, rattan pieces, raw concrete flooring, and vibrant tribal Moroccan rugs everywhere. I don't think I'd want to ever leave a house like this one, except maybe to go hunt for more treasures at the Marrakech's famous medina. I am in love with this house.

ReplyDeleteDo you know where that white table with the orange squares is from in Marrakech? I'd love to find out!
ReplyDeleteThe orange tiled masoned table is actually a DIY project by the owner. Clever idea, right?
DeleteMagnifique maison en effet ! Les touches d'orange sont super jolies, quant à la terrasse, j'y passerais bien mes après-midi à flâner ...

Yes, i agree, pretty much everyhting indoors and outdoors is heaven!
DeleteVery nice - using Hotel Letters is inspired - I've used letters but I really like the word - particularly for anyone that has kids, cats or dogs - nice touch of humour in all that sophisticated white...
ReplyDeleteHmmm Marrakech.

Just found your blog! Love it! I don't know why it took me so long!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy, so glad you found us!
Deletelove the patio and the sense of tranquility, I sometimes think of going back home Gran canaria to a more peaceful place than London...
ReplyDeleteOh, i don't blame you for considering such a change of life... But always remind yourself why you moved to London in the first place before moving back. Remember that the grass is not always greener elsewhere... I often miss my life in Provence, but there are so many things I enjoy from living over here... Gran Canaria tough, sounds tempting! ;-)
DeleteLove what she did with her home. It's such different concept of decorating from the way most Moroccans live/decorate that I wonder what they think of her place?
ReplyDeleteI love the rattan pieces, so wonderful ! Happy summer to you, Si & bonjour de France ;o)
